8/10
- incredible food at a price you won’t forget
- I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while but when I saw the menu I almost fainted at how expensive some of the dishes are for the portion
- the drinks we got were really good and I like how they try to blend Japanese elements into their cocktail menu
- the tartare and the tempura were incredible and such a good value for an appetizer with great plating
- the large plates were more disappointing as the scallops and steak were both very bland and had really nothing to help accompany their lack of flavour
- the seasonal offerings were good but not amazing like the tomago sandwich which was so insanely buttery in a good yet also bad way and the soba noodles just weren’t good as well with little to nothing to offer in terms of flavour
- the hand rolls were really good but I find that would be pretty hard to mess up unless they weren’t using fresh ingredients (which they were)
- the sashimi was also nice and fresh but a little overpriced in my opinion
- overall, I found this spot to be really great but I would skip out on the large plates and just go for appetizers and tempura and enjoy the ambiance
